April DiMartino

April DiMartino

Funeral Director/Owner

April grew up with close ties to Coats Funeral Home.  The business has been in her family since 1982 when her father purchased the funeral home and the crematory. The family business had one of the first crematories in the State of North Carolina.  At that time, cremation was not a popular option.  Times have certainly changed and the establishment is continually adjusting to the changes to best serve each and every family.

The crematory has always been next door to Coats Funeral Home however is operating under a new name, Coats Crematory, LLC.  Unlike many businesses in the funeral industry, Coats Funeral Home has not been bought out by a large corporation.  The business will remain family-owned and operated.

April's goal is to continue to help each family not only deal with the loss of a loved one in a streamlined way, but save money as well!  She plans to continue to implement what her father instilled in her which is finding creative ways to help others in addition to reducing unnecessary costs.

April graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice.  She received her Funeral Director's License after completing her Funeral Director's courses at the top of her class, NC State Board Exams, and traineeship.

April lived in the Northern VA/DC area for over 20 years.  She worked as a Government Investigator for over five years in the DC area and has moved back to her hometown to take over the family business.  April has a teenage daughter, Isabella Sophia.

Victoria Ralph

Victoria Ralph

Executive Assistant/Cremation Technician

Victoria has been with Coats Funeral Home/Coats Crematory, LLC for three years.  She is not only an executive assistant, she is also a certified cremation technician with training from the Cremation Certification of North America program, (CANA) and a great asset to our team.

Victoria is the mother of two beautiful children, Riley and Kaden.  Unfortunately, Victoria is no stranger to loss, as she lost her father/best friend unexpectedly in 2018 and so many other family members in the years prior to that.  Victoria cared for her quadriplegic father and her grandparents for years before their passing.  This is one of the many qualities that makes her so uniquely qualified for this line of work.  Her compassion and assistance that she provides to other families who are also experiencing loss never goes unnoticed.  Victoria strives to assist our families who have lost a loved one in anyway that she possibly can, and to help make their incredibly difficult journey as easy as possible for them.
