Travis Scarberry Obituary

Travis Aaron Scarberry (TAZ), 36, entered eternal rest on July 21.2023. He was preceded in death by his sister; Shawna Scarberry; papaw Ashly Bishop; Aunt Paula Scarberry; Mamaw and papaw Everette and Bertha Scarberry. He leaves behind his son, Aaron Scarberry; mama and daddy, Cathy and Stoney Baker; dad, Burnell Scarberry; brother, Chris Scarberry; sister, Tisha Neal (Mike) and niece and nephew, Samantha and Ayden Neal. He also leaves behind Mamaw Linda Bishop; Grandpa Stoney Baker and Grandma Becky Baker; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Travis was a mama's boy, no doubt. He would show the world his rough exterior but for those who truly knew him knew he had a sweet, sensitive and gentle soul. He was always on the go, never one to sit still. You could find him taking something apart at any given moment, and if he didn't know how to do something he had no problems getting his hands dirty to figure it out. He was a hard worker but at the end of a hard day you could find him at a fishing hole. He never would tell you where all the good fishing spots were though. I guess that's the secret of a good fisherman. There will never be enough words to express all his attributes: adventurous, hardworking, fun loving, loyal and having unconditional love for his family. He was the realest person you would ever meet, and he never held anything back! While he could make friends anywhere, he went he shared his heart with so few. Aaron, Mama, Stoney, Chris and Tisha have and always will be his love, his light and his biggest supporters in this life and the next.

   Poem Of Life

Life is but a stopping place,

A pause in what's to be,

A resting place along the road,

To sweet eternity.

We all have different journeys,

Different paths along the way,

We all were meant to learn some things,

But never meant to stay...

Our destination is a place,

Far greater than we know.

For some the journey's quicker,

For some the journey's slow.

And when the journey finally ends,

We'll claim a great reward,

And find everlasting peace,

Together with the Lord.
