Sherrie Darlene Knott, 64, of Coats, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at her home. Sherrie was born February 3rd, 1957 in Henderson, NC to the late Sidney and Betty Knott. She lived most of her life in Cary, NC graduating from Cary High School in 1975.  She worked at North Carolina State University in the Continuing and Professional Education Non-Credits Program as a Certified Program Coordinator for 30 years until her retirement in 2008.

She was a devoted daughter, aunt and friend. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Sherrie enjoyed gardening, pool and cheering on her niece and nephew's sporting events. She was active with the American Poolplayers Association where she played on many eight-ball and nine-ball teams.

Sherrie is survived by brother Michael A. Knott, his wife, JoAnn and nephews and niece Seth, Annika, Jonathan and Jacob of Clayton; and brother, Phillip D. Knott, his wife Pam and nephews Parker and Preston of Willow Spring.; many cousins and life-long special friends, Jean Bundy and Wayne Evans, Lori Jackson, Mavis Stillman

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or The Humane Society of the United States.
