Ms. Ruth Byrd, 62, passed away peacefully Sunday, 11/26/2023, surrounded by her caregivers and family.  Ms. Byrd was born on May 28, 1961 in Harnett County to the late Henry Holt Byrd and Thelma Lorene McGee Byrd.  She is preceded in death by her siblings, Judy Byrd Bishop and Eddie Holt Byrd, and nephew, Ben Byrd of Willow Spring.

Survivors include sister-in-law, Debbie Byrd of Willow Springs; Niece, Joanna Bishop-Tyer and husband Jim of Cary; and nephews, Joseph Henry Bishop, Jr of Burlington and Stewart Michael Bishop of Nashville, TN.  Ms. Byrd is also survived by one great-niece, one great-great-niece, four great-nephews; son, Adam, and caregiver, Melody West and Kimberly Stanfield of Dunn.
