Katie McLemore Piercy passed away May 7 from a heart attack. She was 67.  Katie was well known for her love and pride of the time spent as a UNITED STATES MARINE.

Katie and her family moved to Lillington in 1968 and was in the LHS class of 1975. After her time in the Marines Katie worked in retail.  At the time of her death, she lived in Angier.

Katie is preceded by her parents Elmond and Dorothy McLemore and a sister Dorothy Hood. She is survived by two sisters, Fortune McLemore of Silver Spring, Maryland and Ruth Klobcar of Angier, (aunt )Margaret House of Coats  and cousins Don House, William House, Robert House and Dava House.
