Dorothy "Dee Dee" Hood, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, on Saturday, May 16, 2020.

Survivors include sisters Katie Piercy and Ruth Klobcar of Angier and Fortune McLemore of Silver Spring, MD;  an aunt, Margaret House of Coats and cousins Don, Bill, Robert and Dava.  She was preceded in death, by her parents, Elmond and Dorothy McLemore.

Dorothy had a long, successful career in the radio, television and marketing industries. Her greatest joy was spinning music on her beloved Bluegrass radio program.

Friday, May 22nd would have been her 66th birthday.
